Advanced Presentation: Skills for public speaking

Many of us are required to deliver presentations as part of our job role, but few have been trained in this area. This workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to develop their skills for formal presentations and public speaking and as a progression for those who have participated in our Communication: Engaging hearts and minds workshop.

You will work with a theatre director on developing your presentation skills, applying similar techniques to those used in a theatre rehearsal process, considering structure and how to present your content to an audience in a compelling way.

The focus of the workshop is on getting your message across while meeting your audience’s needs. This workshop can be used to prepare towards a specific presentation or simply to develop general skills to help with client pitches, public speaking commitments or meetings with colleagues.

This workshop includes:

  • Effective use of body language and voice in presentations
  • Stagecraft - successfully using space and visual aids (avoiding death-by-PowerPoint!)
  • Rehearsal techniques
  • Practising presenting on stage and in front of an audience
  • Personalised feedback and coaching

For further information see our Brochure.
