Join Theatre & Events Producer, Gabby Vautier, in this workshop for Producers looking to expand their skills and knowledge on producing for mid-scale theatre. The workshop will explore how to choose artists to work with, working with co-producers, fundraising for and managing budgets of £100k+, and supporting the production from R&D to performance.

This workshop is suitable for early to mid-career artists with some experience in producing for small-scale or fringe theatre, and are looking to develop their skills for the next level.

The workshop will be BSL interpreted and a notetaker will be making a record of the workshop to be shared with participants. If you have any access requirements please contact Chloe at [email protected].

About Gabby Vautier

Gabby is a freelance theatre and events producer and co-director of Fertility Fest; the world’s first arts festival dedicated to infertility, modern families and the science of making babies.

Fertility Fest 2019 took place in Vienna, Manchester and in London at the Barbican Arts Centre, and alongside a main stage production of Avalanche starring Maxine Peake in both London and Sydney, Australia (produced by Fertility Fest/Barbican/Sydney Theatre Company).

Previously Gabby worked in a series of senior management and producing roles at the Barbican Arts Centre, Young Vic Theatre, Punchdrunk and Manchester International Festival.

Gabby’s recent productions includes: Avalanche (Barbican/Sydney Theatre Company), Drip (Bush Theatre, UK Tour) SWIM (HOME, Manchester, Pleasance Edinburgh, Coastal Tour) and Shandyland (Northern Stage, Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, Oldham Coliseum and York Theatre Royal), The Festival of Curious Puppetry, Falmouth. Previous Productions include The Crash of the Elysium (Punchdrunk/Manchester International Festival), The Quiet House (Bham Rep/Park Theatre London), American Justice (Arts Theatre), Sound&Fury’s Kursk, Sus and Electra (all Young Vic)

Gabby has strong artist development, training and education experience. Gabby is equally excited about producing work on stage, off stage and in communities and is passionate about developing the next generation of artists, audiences and artistic work.

Over the past 3 years Gabby has raised over £400,000 through the Arts Council, The Wellcome Trust, Corporate Sponsorship, donation, Trusts and Foundations.

Gabby is also the mum of 5-year-old twins and has seriously learnt to multi-task!

Northern Stage is fully accessible. The theatre has three lifts providing access to all parts of the building, including the accessible toilets, baby changing facilities, stages 2 & 3 and the backstage area. Buggy parking is available.
