Holly Gallagher, Theatre Maker Holly Gallagher is a Theatre Maker, Director, Facilitator, and Programme Coordinator. Holly is passionate about working with young people, and is interested in making work for theatre that speaks about the world we live in today and sparks an audience's imagination. Holly has an MA with Distinction in Theatre and Performance from Northumbria University, and a First Class (Hons) BA in Performance from Northumbria University, and has showcased and performed her work across England and Scotland with her solo shows Before (the line is lost) and Tensile Strength (or How to Survive at Your Wit’s End). As a freelancer Holly works as a facilitator for Northern Stage and Live Theatre, and as a Stage Manager for Hartlepool Waterfront Festival. Holly also works at ARC Stockton Arts Centre as the Young People's Programme Coordinator. As a Theatre Maker Holly is an Associate Artist at ARC Stockton, was a recipient of the Third Angel Mentorship Scheme 2017 and has since worked for Third Angel as an Associate Artist on The Desire Paths. As a director Holly has received a JMK Assistant Director Bursary in 2018 at Northern Stage, and as a director/co-founder for Sticky Theatre Company has received a CARP residency with Barnsley Civic Theatre and a North East Artist Development Network Bursary. Alongside her facilitation and programming work, she is currently completing her Autumn tour of Tensile Strength, and working as a director on two pieces of new writing: My Mate Ren by Tamsin Daisy Rees and Last Seen Bensham Road by Sam Neale. Surgeries can be one-to-one or in small groups (maximum 4 people per surgery).
