An all day event for theatre-makers, theatre spectators and theatre educators.
Northern Stage, the School of English at Newcastle University, and the RSC are creating a collaborative adventure in Newcastle to explore the impact of Shakespeare's work on artists and educators across the world.
The day will feature talks, workshops and presentations contributions coming from Michael Boyd, Artistic Director of the RSC, and Erica Whyman, Director of Northern Stage in a panel discussion on re-making Shakespeare; artists from the World Shakespeare Festival; Ralph Cohen, Director of the Shakespeare’s Blackfriars Theatre, Virginia USA, on re-making Shakespeare in a re-made indoor early modern theatre; Michael Dobson, Shakespeare Institute, on Shakespeare and amateur performers, and the actor, director and author Tim Crouch, will perform his celebrated one man show ‘I Malvolio’.

Lunch is not included in the event.
