"Springboard for me was a helping hand out of limbo. Just graduating from uni Is a daunting task, however taking part in these 2 weeks helped me grasp a hold of what I wanted to do with my life, and do this with extreme specialist support and care, as well as being able to have 2 weeks of fun and laughter. In the 2 weeks I was able to work in a professional setting, with professional directors, a top class play, brilliantly talented performers and have the shoulders of all of the overtly helpful Northern Stage staff to lean on. I was given the confidence and constructive criticism I needed by directors I worked with which was so helpful as a growing performer. Definitely a must if you are wanting to step into the world of art!"

"Being apart of Springboard was a brilliant experience. Rehearsing in a professional theatre, with a professional crew and performing with new and very talented individuals was simply brilliant. I learned a lot from the course which persuaded me to further pursue my ambition to be a professional actor. And above all else I made some good friends."

"We were directed professionally without the feel of being students and we were treated as artists within this industry.  It is a fabulous scheme with high expectations and it creates yet another opportunity for young artists within the north east!  I felt I benefitted a lot from the Springboard Residency and would definitely recommend it to others wanting to pursue a career in acting."
