NORTH is a paid three month opportunity to make work, develop skills and take the next step with the full support of a professional theatre company. The company will be led by Northern Stage's Creative Associate Mark Calvert. 

Applications for NORTH 2014 will open on 20 August 2013.

During NORTH the company will:

• Spend 10 paid weeks at Northern Stage
• Enhance their skills and learn new techniques in workshops lead by industry professionals
• Create and perform two new pieces
• Receive advice and practical skills on creating work in the future including mentoring on producing, marketing and fundraising
• Get an ongoing commitment from us to support NORTH's development

After a 4 day induction to the company in December 2013, NORTH 2014 will begin a 3 month residency at Northern Stage in January 2014 culminating in a performance in March 2014.
