Northern Stage are joining forces once again with the Artisancam project to work with two local primary schools to explore themes and performance styles inspired by The Glass Slipper.
Working with artists and drama facilitators pupils from Beech Hill Primary School and Westerhope Primary School will develop their own scenes in response to the Northern Stage Christmas production of The Glass Slipper.
The Glass Slipper’s designer Angela Simpson worked with both groups to create costumes and props for the groups to use when creating their scenes with Northern Stage drama workers. The scenes will then be performed in front of a green screen the final product will be a web based film presented on the Artisancam website.
The project provides a unique insight into the process of creating a production whilst introducing young people to performing on stage and performing on film. It is the fourth partnership project between Northern Stage and Artisancam.
