Work Experience

Work Experience 2009

If you would like a real insight into the inner workings of the theatre you can apply to spend a week with us on work experience.

Each day you will experience a different department including Technical, Communications, Participation as well as observing rehearsals (where possible) and Front of House duties (ushering and box office). Where possible you will be given practical tasks to complete although there may also be times where you are observing as it will not be safe for you to get involved.

Open to students in year 10 and 11 we offer this opportunity 3 times a year. Although we try hard to provide corresponding dates with those which the schools have arranged, these sometimes have to be negotiated. Demand for placements is high. If you are short listed you will be contacted and may be invited to come in for an informal chat.

If you are interested in being considered please download and complete this form.

We offer 3 placements per year in the following timescales:

Autumn (Oct/Nov) Spring (Feb/March) and Summer (April/May).

Unfortunately we are not usually able to offer placements between June and September.

*Please note: Applications for spring and summer 2012 have now closed and we can now consider applications for Autumn 2012. *
