Erica Whyman directs the UK premiere of Ruby Moon, an absurd, nightmarish portrayal of the damage grief can do to a family. It begins like a fairy tale but how does it end…? In picture-perfect Flaming Tree Grove, a little girl called Ruby sets off to visit her grandma at the end of the street, but she never arrives. Her parents spiral into sorrow and suspicion. How could Ruby have disappeared in the street where she lived? She’s been gone a long time. The police have stopped calling and they’ve been told to expect the worst. But when a suspicious package appears on their doorstep they decide to take desperate measures. In one last attempt to find out what happened to her, they’re going to take one side of the street each and interview their neighbours...Starring Tilly Gaunt and Nick Haverson (playing all eight parts) Ruby Moon is by award-winning Australian playwright Matt Cameron and looks into the surreal reality of suburban life and what happens behind closed curtains."Erica Whyman's production skips brilliantly between the unbearably raw and the creepily playful...
