Our Box Office is open from 10am-6pm Monday-Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday, on days where there are no evening performances. On performance days we will remain open until 15 minutes after the performance has started. Sundays, we are open one hour prior to the start of a performance and until 15 minutes after the performance has started.
Please be advised that 45 minutes prior to each performance in-person callers in the theatre will be given priority over telephone callers. If booking by post please mark your envelope ‘Sales Team’ and make all cheques payable to Northern Stage. If these tickets are to be sent on to you, please add a further 50p to cover postal charges. Tickets should be delivered within 5 working days of booking. If your booking is made closer than 5 working days to the event, tickets will be available for collection at the Box Office.
All tickets bought online must be picked up from the Box Office at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Please bring along the method of payment used in the transaction as proof of identity. If your tickets were bought as a gift then please contact us from the email account associated with the purchase, and we will arrange for their collection by a third party.

However we can try and sell tickets on your behalf but they will only be offered for re-sale once a performance has sold out. Tickets can be exchanged for tickets for the same production up to 3 days prior to the date of performance, subject to availability. This service is free of charge, however tickets exchanged for those of a lower face value will not have any difference refunded. In the interest of other audience members, babes in arms (under 1 year old) are generally not admitted. Exceptions may be made during Christmas performance, family focussed shows and children’s shows. However, to comply with licensing regulations, a ticket must be bought for ALL children, however young.
From January 2010, a £1 donation will be added to every ticket transaction. Unlike a booking or administrative fee, this £1 contributes to our birthday fundraising campaign to raise £40,000 and will help to continually support the programme of innovative work you see on stage. The £1 donation is added by default to your booking but it is optional; if you do not wish to make the donation, simply untick the relevant box when booking online or tell our Box Office staff when buying in person or by telephone. Thank you for your support.
