Sponsored Walk

The theatre turns 40 in 2010, so to celebrate this anniversary, we are planning a very special programme of productions, projects and events which will help us to reach more people and beat the recession!

As part of this programme, on July 3rd and 4th 2009, 40 teams of staff, friends, family and supporters came together to raise money for Northern Stage, walking 40 miles along Hadrians Wall. The walk took 2 days and an overnight camp, beginning in Haltwhistle in Northumberland and finishing back at the theatre.

They say that Life Begins At 40, and the £5000 raised from the event will help the theatre take a leap into a more ambitious and sustainable future, and enable Northern Stage to continue creating innovative theatre and provide even wider opportunities for people of all ages to get involved with the performing arts.
