Summer School 2010 news coming soon!

For one week only, Northern Stage is opened up to young people aged 11 – 20, giving them the chance to make their own show and perform it on our main stage.

Alongside sessions on acting and devising theatre there are lots of opportunities to get involved with the backstage, costume and marketing sides of the theatre.

For any young people who want to get involved but don't fancy acting, we also run a technical strand to the summer school, where participants find out all about lighting, sound and staging working with Northern Stage’s technical team.

Full details, dates and times will be announced shortly and booking will open next week (week commencing 1st March).

Make sure you keep checking the Summer School section of our website for all the latest information.

Bake Northern Stage!

This is one of the best projects we've heard about in a long time.

NewcastleGateshead's EAT! Festival is happening again this year and the event we're most looking forward to is Cakebook. 100 of the NewcastleGateshead's most iconic buildings (which we're thrirlled to be one of) will be made out of sponge, fruit, icing and jam for a giant flash-mob picnic on June 20.

If you want to bake Northern Stage, or any other of the 100 iconic buildings, visit http://www.cakebook.org/ and bid for your favourite landmarks plot online on ebay. You can buy Northern Stage here.
